… Just Breathing … how do we breathe during Zazen meditation?

Thisdiagram (kindly provided by a temple in Japan) might seem prettyobvious … but what more do you want to know about ‘just breathing’?

Excellent post and video–this is very helpful and a great reminder that during those sitting periods where my mind is going wild I can just count the breaths. Very well put, thanks!

i’m new and have been sitting with the sangha for 2 weeks now and can’t seem to get admitted to the forum. i don’t understand. is there a reason for this?

jundo, are you gummo by any chance? frankly, someone needs to shut” that man” up. is he a representative for the noble tradition of ZEN? to me he represents everything that is abhorrent about western buddhism. yuk. i find him an embarrassment. there, enough said. i need to go sit now. thank you for wearing your robes:)
