Watchwoman: Anyone who knows me already knows I do not agree with Obama’s policies, but threatening his life is wrong! wrong! wrong! Now here is what distresses me. Praying in the Name of Jesus got a Chaplain in the Navy Court Martial. Merely mentioning the word “God” in Arlington Cemetery during a funeral (or any other time) is forbidden by the Obama Administration. A cross in a cemetery in California has been ordered to be removed because it is a Christian symbol. Where is freedom of speech and the freedom to practice religion without the government interfering? So you mean that it’s free speech to threaten to assassinate a presidential candidate, but it’s not free speech to pray in the name of Jesus or to even say the word “God”? Is this insanity, and if it is not, what is? 2012 is coming and I’m sure many lunatics will now be free to threaten to assassinate Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann and any other Republican maligned by the lamestream news media programs, that includes all those on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, Public Tax-Supported Radio and Public Tax-Supported TV, all the Sunday morning TV shows (when all good Christians are in church) and every comedian with a bully pulpit on TV, including Jay Leno, David Letterman and all the other Democrat clones armed with Democrat Talking Points. ▬ Donna Calvin

AP – A La Mesa man who posted racial epithets and a call to “shoot” Barack Obama on an Internet chat site was engaging in constitutionally protected free speech, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday in overturning his criminal conviction. Walter Bagdasarian was found guilty two years ago of making threats against a major presidential candidate in comments he posted on a Yahoo.com financial website after 1 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2008, as Obama’s impending victory in the race for the White House was becoming apparent. Bagdasarian told investigators he was drunk at the time. The observation that Obama “will have a 50 cal in the head soon” and a call to “shoot the [racist slur]” weren’t violations of the law under which Bagdasarian was convicted because the statute doesn’t criminalize “predictions or exhortations to others to injure or kill the president,” said the majority opinion written by Judge Stephen Reinhardt. ”When our law punishes words, we must examine the surrounding circumstances to discern the significance of those words’ utterance, but must not distort or embellish their plain meaning so that the law may reach them,” said the 2-1 ruling in which Chief Judge Alex Kozinski joined but Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw dissented.
