Iran arrests journalists, to execute bloggers
Commentary Staff Writer - Joel Gehrke
Iranian courts have sentenced two bloggers to death for “spreading corruption,” and government security forces have arrested four other journalists, in the lead-up to the nation’s March elections.
“In the past two weeks, security forces have reportedly arrested four journalists,” the U.S. State Department said in a statement, “including Shahram Manouchehri, Sahamedin Bourghani, Parastoo Dokouhaki, and Marzieh Rasouli, and Iranian courts confirmed death sentences for bloggers Saeed Malekpour and Vahid Asghari, both of whom were not accorded due process and now face imminent execution on charges of ‘spreading corruption.’”
The State Department faulted Iran for trying “to extinguish all forms of free expression and limit its citizens’ access to information in the lead-up to March parliamentary elections.”

Aw man let the journalists go they haven’t done or said anything worthy of what the Iranians plan to do with them. Knock off this crap and release them. Some how Iranian’s need to grow up and stop this..What does it gain the Iranian’s to keep this up..This is just plain senseless.

If Iran executes these two Americans, I think our military should deliver a surgical stroke that would leave a mark the Iranian government would not likely forget for the next century! We have the technical know-how and the weaponry in our arsenal to deliver this message. I say lets do it and be prepared to prosecute them further if necessary. Iran doesn’t seem to understand diplomatic negotiations, so let’s see if they understand unrelenting naked military aggression.
