Things about the “Osama/Usama is Dead” Sunday Night Celebrations by the White House That Made Me Wonder?
by Donna Calvin, The Word Warriorette

Last night I was made curious by the young faces of the celebrants near the White House quickly following the news that Osama/Usama Bin Laden had been killed dead, shot in the head, by a small band of Navy Seals who attacked his compound repelling from helicopters.  (I love those Navy Seals!  Thank God for Navy Seals, but that isn’t what this is about.)

Not only did these young people’s ages make me wonder, but I wondered about the American flags. Where did they get them so quickly? I mean, they were brand-new looking. Besides that, how many college-age students do you know who own American flags?  Especially ones that big!

I also saw those “Change” plaques in the crowd from the Obama campaign. That struck me with curiosity too. Would you have taken an Obama campaign plaque with you? Just asking???

This was like a flash crowd armed with American flags? How could that happen?

I mean, today with Facebook and all, I can understand how it could be conjured up, but what I don’t know is how all those young people got all those flags so late at night? Even if they all went to Wal-Mart, how could they have gotten that many? Wal-Marts don’t have that many flags in stock. And would you run to Wal-Mart to buy a flag to take with you? I mean, would that be your first reaction, as a college student, to run to some store that might be opened at 10 or 11 o’clock on a Sunday night?

Also, how could all those young people get there?  I mean 99.99999999% of Americans didn’t even know Osama/Usama had been killed yet?

To me it looked more like an orchestrated campaign rally.  What do you think?
