Royal Tailor earned its first GRAMMY nod

On Wednesday night, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences hosted a special concert to announce the 2012 GRAMMY Award nominees. Of course, most of the nominations didn’t make the show, so Whole Notes is here to catch you up on how your favorite Christian music artists fared.

Other nominees of note include Amy Grant who is up for Best Country Song as the co-writer of husband Vince Gill’s song “Threaten Me With Heaven,” and former Christian music artist Joy Williams who is now one-half of the duo The Civil Wars (along with John Paul White) is up for Best Folk Album for “Barton Hollow.”

The 2012 GRAMMY Awards will be aired live February 12th on CBS.
