Will Supporters of Israel Miss Ahmadinejad?

posted by Brad Hirschfield | 10:15am Friday June 5, 2009

He’s up for re-election and he actually might not win. Would that be good or bad for pro-Israel groups who have made much of his presence? In his provocative and insightful article, Ron Kampeas specualtes on this question and how the answers given tell us a great deal about the pro-Israel community in the United States.
In truth though the article invites us to wonder about a much bigger question, one that shapes our personal lives on a daily basis.

How often do any of us use the presence of something or someone we hate and/or fear to distract us from getting down to the business of living our own lives?
How often do negative emotions directed at others provide the “perfect” excuse for not taking stock of our own situation and doing what we think is right for others or best for ourselves?
There is nothing like a well-defined enemy, real or really imagined, to distract us from being the friend we want to be to ourselves or others.

Is God A Christian?
R. Kirby Godsey’s new book, Is God A Christian?, challenges what the author describes as the commonly held belief among many religious people that the God in whom they believe is “one of them”.  People, Mr. Kirby observes, too often confuse God’s religious identity with their own, leading t

Remembering 9/11 - Part One
The tenth anniversary of 9/11 brings up many emotions and presents some very real challenges, among them how to remember the past without being imprisoned by it.  This video, filmed at St. Paul's, the church closest to the World Trade Center site, is a wonderful example of rising to that challen

Is Realty TV Really Kosher? The Ethics Of Realty TV
I know, at first it seems that ethics and reality TV are about as connected as fire and water – one being the antidote for the other.  But perhaps it’s not as simple as that, a conclusion supported by the recent spate of articles arguing that reality TV producers need to create, and commit, to

Without an enemy from the outside Israelis will have to look inward. They are all terrified of this possibility. American’s aren’t any better which is why we are in Iraq now.
As per Israel the worse are the politicians leading the relegious parties. They will always support any right wing political agenda to make sure the day Israelis look inward will never come.

Extremists of every stripe feed off each other. Bin Laden and Bush adored each other, for each fed the others agenda perfectly. Politicians don’t have to deliver on a domestic agenda or be accountable for anything if they can manage to keep a perpetual state or war going.

WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATRED? DO YOU LIVE IN ISRAEL? HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THERE? ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN HIPPOCRIT? I MEAN YOU WORSHIP JESUS AND HATE JEWS? ARE YOU A MUSLIM, AND THEN THAT IS A REASON IN ITSELF, AFTER ALL ISHMAEL TRIED TO KILL HIS OWN BROTHER ISAAC OUT OF JEALOUSY, LIKE CAIN KILLED ABEL? EH? WHY HATE ANYONE? JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE? WHY NOT LIVE YOUR OWN PATHETIC LIFE? OR DON’T YOU HAVE ONE? DO YOU BLAME THE JEWS FOR BEING SMART? OR MAYBE YOU BELIEVE THE JEWS ARE ALL RICH? ARE YOU A JEW THAT HAS LOST THEIR FAITH? PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE AND WE ALL HAVE OUR PROBLEMS AND THE WAY YOU THINK IS NEGATIVE? HOW CAN YOU EVER FIND SUCCESS OR JOY IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU ALWAYS BRING GLOOM AND DOOM TO THE PICTURE OF LIFE? CAN’T YOU PEOPLE EVER THINK POSITIVE AND WISH EVERYONE WELL IN THEIR ENDEAVORS? ARE YOU JEALOUS? OF WHAT? A PEOPLE THAT SHED THEIR BLOOD FOR THEIR LITTLE NATION! JUST LIKE AMERICANS? AND EVERY COUNTRY HAS DONE THAT AS WELL? MAYBE NOT AS SUCCESSFUL BUT THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT! WHY DON’T YOU LOOK INWARD AND JUDGE YOURSELF? OR ARE YOU AFRAID OF WHAT YOU WILL SEE? A VERY HATEFUL, NEGATIVE, LONELY PERSON, WITH NO EMPATHY OR SYMPATHY, OR COMPASSION FOR OTHERS? SEE YOUR WAY TO A JOYFUL LIFE AND LEAVE EVERYONE ALONE WITH ALL YOUR GLOOM AND DOOM!

Uri Avnery said in April 2009.
I am not saying that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an agent of the Mossad.
Absolutely not. I don’t want to be sued for libel.
I am only saying that were he an agent of the Mossad, he would not behave any differently.
And also: If he did not exist, the Mossad would have had to invent him.
Either way, the assistance he is giving to the government of Israel is invaluable.”
Tomorrow if Mousavi wins that’s a game changer for Israel, they know it

AHA!
The Zionist conspiracy is at work. The people of Iran voted for a reformed, but the nation’s true masters in Jerusalem reinstalled their lackey Ahmadinejad. We can all blame the Jews for this result, also global worming, pornography, the plummiting standards of broadcast television, and paper cuts.
