Your Charmed Life

Your Charmed Life

30 days to a charmed life day 23 — increase your willingness

whimsy studios.jpgSome people can plow through life with their mighty willpower. That can work, although it sometimes leads to trouble, as plowing through via any means is apt to do. Instead, consider willingness. If you take a job that doesn’t seem ideal, can you be willing and see where it takes you? If you’ve committed to regular exercise and you absolutely don’t want to work out today, can you be willing and do it even though you’d rather not?

Willingness is a powerful quality because it’s the bridge between self-will and the flow of life. When you’re willing, you’re allowing life to live through you. It means you’re pliable and moldable. It means you can change and grow.

Peace on Earth ... but maybe not quiet ...
I just visited The Writers Room. It is a wonderful place where serious writers write lots and lots of real books: the evidence is on shelves when you walk in. I'm grateful that three professional contacts wrote me glowing recommendations and thrilled that I've been invited to join. But I don't think

Do You Use the Guest Towels? -- a guest blog from Elizabeth Grant
Do You Use the Guest Towels?  by Elizabeth A. Grant One of the greatest obstacles I see with clients is that people have trouble valuing themselves highly. Somewhere along the line, they took on a belief that they aren't worth much. A friend of mine is an artist, and she's really struggling wit

Love your distinction between “will” words. Such a difference between willpower and willingness. Umm.
