Steven Curtis Chapman and family in this week’s People magazine, links to Larry King and GMA interviews

posted by Joanne Brokaw | 3:46pm Wednesday August 13, 2008

ChapmanFamilyphoto.JPGThe August 15th issue of People magazine will incude a major feature on Steven Curtis Chapman, his wife Mary Beth, and children Emily, Caleb and Will as the family shares their memories of Maria, their faith in God, and their strong love for each other.
The Chapmans suffered a tragedy in May when their youngest adopted daugher Maria Sue was accidentally killed in an accident in the family’s driveway. Youngest son Will accidentally hit her as she ran to meet him when he pulled into the driveway.
Chapman returned to the stage in July and the family appeared last week on “Larry King Live” and “Good Morning America.”

You can see the video of the Chapmans on Larry King on YouTube. There are 6 parts of the segment (in case you don’t find them there):

The segment of the Chapmans on “Good Morning America” can be seen on Steven’s website.
And you can catch a preview of the People magazine article now at People.com.
Don’t think for even one minute that the Chapman family is in any way exploiting what happened to Maria for publicity. This is a family deeply committed to each other and to God, who are willing to bare their hearts to America to share the love of Jesus, as well as their commitment to adoption. The decision for Chapman to return to the stage, let alone tell the story publicly didn’t come easy, I’m sure. I hope that sharing the story helps them heal, and reaches out to other families dealing with similar losses.
