My heartfelt prayers go out to Jennifer and family. Even after losing an adult child tragically and without warning, I can’t begin to imagine the kind of pain this family is going through! I pray that God will place a shield around them and give them the peace and strength they need during this tragic and untimely storm. I hope each will realize that even though some may not know what to say or have the words to express it, they share your grief and pain and want very much to let you know you are not alone!
God’s peace and blessings …

To Jennifer’s sister who is now the mother of an angel … I feel so deeply grieved over the loss of your precious and beloved son. He did not deserve this and the news of his death brought tears to my eyes and opened a deep wound in my shattered heart. I asked God to give me some of your grief so that you would not feel you had to bear your cross alone. Still … when it comes to relating to your grief, your shattered heart, for now … there really are no words to move that kind of heartfelt. I grieve also for the loss of your other family members too. Only God and He alone can bring you through such a tragic and senseless loss. I pray God will take away the hurt and anger I am trying not to feel right now. Still …
Sharing a poem that has helped me to deal with waves of grief and anger through the years.
Love & Angel Hugs from heaven!

Troubled Waters
Standing by the river’s edge
Remembering all
That was done and said
Remembering all
That was done to hurt me…
River turned into a sea
Huge enough to swallow me
Painful waves swelled up inside
Much too late to run and hide
Looked around
Surprised to see…
Jesus standing there with me
Took my hurts and all my pain
Cast them all into the sea
Then He said …
Fear not my child
Let it go!
Come follow me!

An Angel Mom’s Prayer
Dear God in heaven
We know you have our children there
Please keep them in your loving care
Please let them know not a day goes by
That in our hearts our souls still cry!
Oh God in heaven we miss them so!
We wish they did not have to go!
Still … home to heaven all must return
For that we thank you … Oh Holy One!

And finally to the entire family, please know …
You Are Not Alone
God always knows when we are hurting
Never doubt how much He cares
The thing we must remember is
God hears our heartfelt prayers
He forgives us when we’re angry with Him
He wipes our tears away
He knows that we DON’T understand
There will be a brighter day!
We CAN’T see the total picture
As we are traveling through this land
And even though our hearts are shattered
For each of us … God has a plan
Life here on Earth is but a moment
We see death as being the end
God knows it is just the beginning
For our children, our loved ones, our friends
And like them when we too have finished
All that God has sent us to do
We’ll rejoice with all of our loved ones
In a world that to us will be new!
Until then let’s encourage each other
THAT’S what God would have us to do
In times of great sorrow He’s been there for me …
And I know He’ll be there for you!
